Story says that “Gore deserves an Oscar for hypocrisy to go along with the other two” that his movie won at the Academy Awards on Sunday night. I seems that Al Gore isn’t as serious about conserving energy as he claims, because his huge-ass castle uses more power per month than the average American’s does all year. I got my eye on you, Gore.
A 107 Year-Old Woman Starts a Blog, Tells of Life Through Friend

A Photo / Picture Section for Digg?
February 26, 2007“Lately there have been a good deal of stories reaching the front page that are nothing but pictures (usually ones sported as funny and/or witty). How many other people think pictures deserve their own section, as not to clog up the topics for news articles.”
What I’ve noticed when I go on Digg is that there is the “News” section when you first log in. This would make sense if all it had were actual news stories. Sure, there are a ton of news stories (text articles from various sites), but there are also many other “stories” that are not stories or news at all: namely photos, games, and even videos (though there is a video section of Digg).
What Digg needs is a photo / picture section. This would be great for easy access to people’s personal photos (from Flickr and sites like that) and things they may have created in Photoshop, as well as famous, funny, and just plain cool pictures taken by professionals and the like.
Martin Scorsese & “THE DEPARTED” Win Big at Oscars
February 25, 2007“Martin Scorsese took home the Academy Award for Best Director and THE DEPARTED took home the Academy Award for Best Picture.”
“The Departed” is a big accomplishment for the movie industry. Of all the other nominees I think the only other one I would have been glad to see get the award is Clint Eastwood. But Martin Scorsese is an amazing director who has not been recognized enough until now. He’s directed some of the best movies of the last 25 years, including Goodfellas, Mean Streets, The Aviator, and Gangs of New York. I’m glad to see Scorsese finally win the Oscar after all these years and he’ll go down in history like the directors who presented the award to him: Spielberg & Lucas. “The Departed” was also my favorite movie of the year and definitely deserved the Best Picture award. This year’s Oscars was very satisfying to me, much less like last year’s when the music played right when the actors got up on stage to deliver their speeches, not after a minute or so, and Jon Stewart was hosting.

AMAZING shot! I’m guessing this had to be enhanced with Photoshop. The detail and the color saturation are incredible.
